They had almost zero positive effect in my live strategies.<\/p>\n<p>I learned very quickly that textbook theory and real market execution are two entirely different worlds. These days our dquants backtests subtract commission, spread and slippage on real tick data before any indicator is allowed to look like an edge, exactly the reality check those first bots never got.<\/p>\n<p>*(Educational purpose only.
