How we tested: On the five-minute gold chart, wait for the 9 EMA to cross the 21. Price must pull back to a level, and past half the move. Stop past the last swing. Target: the recent high. Gold (XAUUSD) 5-minute chart, 2019 to Sep 2026 — 4,306 trades. We also tried dropping his extra steps, bigger targets and skipping choppy markets.
