This video contains the use of artificial intelligence: the presenter is an AI avatar with an AI voice, and the short cinematic clips are AI-generated. The code, the research and the explanations are my own work, and every run shown is a real run.
AdiTejus: AI, in simple steps, made for people who are not programmers. This is video 1 of the series.
Build a real AI agent in seven simple steps, in about forty lines of Python, on the Gemini API free tier, so you need no card. You do not need to be a programmer: if you can type what you see on screen, you can build this. We start from nothing: a folder, a free editor and its terminal. Every command and every line is on screen, for Windows and Mac, with the output and the most likely error at each step.

Make it yours: change the folder it reads, the goal you give it, and the tools it can use. Next video: we give this same agent the web, so keep your first-agent folder.

Free tier notes: on the free tier Google may use your prompts to improve its products (stated on the pricing page), so practise with sample files, not private documents. The free tier limits requests per minute and per day (on my account: 5 a minute and 20 a day for this model; one agent run uses 2 to 4). When the day’s requests are used up the program may sit silent with no error: after five minutes press Ctrl + C and come back tomorrow. Your own limits are in Google AI Studio under Rate Limit. The waits between model calls are trimmed in the video.
