This is Part 1 of my SECOND FTMO Practice Challenge experiment where I test an improved version of my trading bot (EA).
This new version is:
* More aggressive
* Bug-fixed (wellβ¦ mostly π
)
* Designed to theoretically reach ~2% profit per day with -2% max daily risk
* Optimized to pass an FTMO Challenge in ~5 trading days
—
## π Day 1 β Strong Start
The bot performed very well:
* Reached around +$190 profit
* Floating PnL peaked at ~+$94
* Closed the day around +$130
π In hindsight: I should have closed everything at peak and stopped trading for the day.
—
## β οΈ Day 2 β Bug + Mistake = Big Loss
Things went wrong:
* A critical bug stopped the EA from placing trades for ~14 hours
* Missed opportunities + bad timing
* I didnβt lock in profits when I should have
Result:
* Hit max daily loss (-$200)
* All trades auto-closed
—
## π Current Situation
* Now recovering
* Current floating: ~+$22
* Still early in the challenge
—
## π― Goal
* FTMO Practice target: +$500
* Deadline: 14 calendar days
* Strategy: aggressive recovery + controlled risk
—
## π Strategy Overview
* Risk per day: max -2%
* Target per day: ~2%
* High-frequency execution
* Multi-pair exposure
—
## π§ͺ Why This Test Matters
My previous attempt:
* Was more conservative
* Showed strong results
* But expired after 14 days
π This version aims to:
* Be faster
* More decisive
* Pass within time constraints
