I walk you through two ready-to-use prompt templates, one for indicators and one for strategies, so you can simply fill in your logic and get clean, working code every time.
How it Works 💡
You give Claude AI a structured prompt describing what you want, your buy and sell conditions, visual requirements, and any extra rules. Claude then writes the full Pine Script v6 code for you.
I also cover the most important mistakes you must avoid when using AI for trading scripts. The biggest one is repainting. Many AI-generated indicators repaint their signals, meaning the signals change after the bar closes, which makes backtest results look great but the live performance is completely different. I explain what repainting is, why it happens, and what to include in your prompt to prevent it.
The second mistake is running backtests on Renko or Heikin Ashi charts. These chart types smooth out price data, which leads to false backtest results. Always backtest on regular candlestick charts using real OHLC data. 📊
