I tried building my own AI Agent command-line tool after watching PewDiePie copy OpenCode, and it was a lot harder than I thought! In this video, I walk you through how I built “Pylm,” a local AI CLI assistant using Python, Ollama, and open-source models, despite having no formal computer science or programming education.
I try to break down how AI agents work, how to set up an “Agent Loop” to show the AI’s thought process, and how to give your local LLM custom tools to read and interact with your files. We also look at the completely AI-generated website I made for the project.
