Requirements:
Highly skilled and motivated under-graduates with 0 to 6 months of experience in software testing and automation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Passion for identifying bugs and ensuring product quality.
A proactive mindset, with eagerness to learn and grow as a world-class QA professional.
Good communication skills — able to articulate technical issues and solutions clearly and simply.
Natural team player with strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities.
Enthusiasm for delivering software that solves real-world client challenges.
Background and Skills:
– Basic understanding of Manual Testing concepts.
– Good to have: Experience with automation testing, preferably using Playwright with TypeScript or
JavaScript.
– Familiarity with MS SQL or other relational databases.
– Awareness of JavaScript, HTML, and web fundamentals.
– Basic knowledge of AI prompting / AI feature testing skills is good to have.
– Exposure to Performance Testing and Security Testing is an added advantage.
– Familiarity with programming languages like C# or Java is a strong bonus.
Education:
– Engineering bachelor’s degree in any field or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Programming with an overall percentage of 70% or above
– Formal training or certifications from accredited organizations in technical areas listed above are highly
desirable but relevant experience will be considered.
Duties and responsibilities
Undergo training program (called Sleeves Up Program) for up to 2 months to understand the software delivery process at Insight Consultants for Quality Analyst role.
Once deployed on a project, the candidate will be responsible for:
Analyzing and estimating client requirements and planning appropriate manual and automation testing strategies (where applicable).
Designing and executing test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of production issues and contributing to workarounds or
permanent resolutions.
Collaborating with the development and product teams to propose resilient, scalable, and testable architectural solutions for modules owned in a project.
Continuously learning and upskilling in modern QA practices and tools to drive operational efficiency — including areas like Test Automation, AI/ML, Cognitive QA, and R&D-driven testing.
Performing integration testing for APIs, payment gateways, and third-party systems.
Participating in code reviews (for automated test scripts) and following best practices for maintainable test automation.
Writing and maintaining automated regression suites using tools like Playwright.
Logging, tracking, and verifying bugs using tools like Azure DevOps, and collaborating closely with developers for timely resolution.
Supporting the CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated test scripts and contributing to test coverage analysis.
Taking part in performance testing, security testing, or cloud-based testing as per project
requirements.
Demonstrating a high level of ownership and accountability for testing deliverables in agile/scrum environments.
Should be flexible to work extended hours (till 9: 30 PM IST) to overlap with client work timings. When deployed in some projects, work timings can be from 12: 00 PM to 9: 30 PM IST.
