Adelaide gives an introduction about then walks through a day in her life as a Software engineer with Thales. Explaining how her work shapes the data into Human readable displays.

Using tests to mimic real life situations while assessing performance. She emphasises the healthy work-life balance at Thales and the positive office environment which hosts lots of fun social activities.

Her journey from education to software engineer took her into various roles while she upskilled in her free time. Gaining experience in banking, teaching and then her first role in Thales through a referral from her network. She showcases how she lucky to visit countries abroad, explaining that software engineers usually take a month out to travel each year.

With Thales, Adelaide, and colleagues are able to visit the projects where their work is impacting, and attend conferences to build their professional networks and attend talks about upcoming tech. In her personal time, she continues to teach and code personal projects that she is passionate about.

The session finishes with an audience Q&A session where she gives specific advice to key questions.
